The Watertown Elite Field Hockey clinic got approved to be held on August 3-6, Raindate August 7, 2020.   

Note:  Presently, in Watertown, masks must be worn.  As we get closer to the Clinic, I'll send updated guidelines for the clinic. Presently, we are in Phase 2.  By early July, we are predicted to be in Phase 3.

We will continue to run a full curriculum in a safe, well prepared environment.

  • #1 National Record for 184 games undefeated.
  • #1 National Record for 124 consecutive wins.
  • Donahue was inducted in National Field Hockey Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2020.
  • Donahue was named The Massachusetts Women in Athletics Distinguished Service Award in 2020.
  • Donahue was named the 2014 Top of the Circle United States Field Hockey Coach of the Year.
  • Donahue was named the 2013 National High School Coaches Association's Field Hockey Coach of the Year.
  • As Head Coach of Watertown, Donahue has won 18 Division 2 State Titles, 26 Division 2 North Titles, and 30 Middlesex League Titles.

Watertown High School Varsity Field Hockey Head Coach Eileen Donahue and team broke the All-time National unbeaten streak record of 154 games  on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015

 

Clinic Information

The clinic at Victory Field is open to players in grades K-12.   

Players are grouped by age, experience and skill level. Having a good understanding of basic fundamental skills is the key to success in becoming a well-rounded field hockey player.

Dribbling, passing, shooting, hitting, goalie training, team play and defensive skills will be taught in a fun and engaging way.  After teaching the players the technical aspects of field hockey through challenging drills, they will have a chance to showcase what they have learned by playing in field hockey games.
